Race 5
1, Ten Downing Street: Comes way down in class with several others. Lately has been getting passed in deep stretch. Until that trend is turned around I can't use him.
2, Gray Black N White: Good early speed but weakens in the stretch. He's only missed hitting the board once in 8 tries at this track. Cuts back a 1/2 furlong and a step down in class should see him loom large as this groups nears the wire.
3, Luis's Especial: Gets much better in his second off the layoff. Steps down a notch in class and could be tougher and factor for minor rewards.
4, Cape Town King: Comes off a year layoff and his speed figures before the layoff very competiotive versus these. Mullins tends to have his runners ready off layoff but I don't think he's enter to win but his connections would be happy if he did. I'm willing to go against him tonight.
5, My Friend Luis: Closed with a sonic boom in his last. I don't really think we will see a repeat of that tonight. I do believe he wants to go longer and is probably more effective going longer. Might repeat but I'll use him underneath.
6, Legendary Mud: Drops back to a level where he's won before but this field should have runners that are a step too quick for him. Second off the layoff can see some improvement but he'll need his best to win this one.
7, Scottish Diamond: Cuts back a little in distance and drops down. Always in tougher at Hollywood and should fit here. Trainer Sherman's charge should hit the board.
8, Town Thief: Should be facing runners that go just faster then he can. His second off the layoff should see him a little better but his speed figures are a little low. Use him in the superfecta and maybe the trifecta.

Race 6
1, Tulips Dandy: Cuts back in distance in his second off the layoff. Gets a inside post. Not really liking his work outs but could move forward with the reduced distance.
1A, Coolerator: Was getting better before the layoff. Now tacks on an additional 2 furlongs and makes the move over to turf. May be too many things to over come at once and I'm willing to go against him.
2, Imblendednotshaken: Takes off the blinkers and comes in with some nice workouts. Stretches out and needs a heady ride from Pedroza. Speed figures are a cut below and he's only usable for the superfecta, maybe.
3, Ginobili: Moves up slightly in class and stretches out. A mile may be too long for him right now versus veteran routers. Should slowly start to back out of contention as they near the wire.
4. Mark The Bench: Ships down from the Bay area and steps up in class. Could do better from just off the pace as many in this field have not gone this distance and this may be a slight advantage for him.
5, Unvarnished: Returns to turf and extends the distance. Nice work outs but hasn't show he can handle the pace when racing on turf.
6, Got Free: Cuts back to a distance he seems better suited for. Set the pace in his last and got ran down in deep stretch. Should be stronger in his third attempt at this distance. Not sure if he needs the lead to win but adds blinker to probably keep him from seeing rivals close in on him. My choice.
7, I Am Game: Moves to race on grass and even pace runner must go further then he ever has. The relaxed pace he may get can see him stick around for the superfecta and if on the lead could make 6, Got Free spit the bit, if he needs to be on the lead.
8, Panchitoshonor: First time starter comes in with added Lasix and some decent work outs. Barn is winless in 11 tries and should come up winless today. Three year old rookie could till hit the board for minor rewards.
9, Pop'shands Are Hot: Tried to sprint but was soundly beaten and only beat two others in that race. Pace tracker should be able to out last others to finish in the money

Race 7
1, Rebel Creek: Not enough speed pre-layoff and should even be slower tonight. She'll have to beat me.
2, Brendolyn: Cuts back, drops down and returns to the cushion track. Can be close at this level if she brings her same intensity to the race. She'll need all she has and can be used in gimmicks easily.
3, Highland Torree: Comes off a big effort in her last versus allowance runners. She gets a little class relief tonight but I think that last race may have taken a lot out of her. I think she won't and will use her in the trifecta.
4, Overly Temtping: Speed doesn;t hold up and she will worry those who use her in deep stretch. Any runner with a powerful late kick can get to her. Tough to not use her for the win but I might look for value elsewhere.
5, Wickednwackyingrid: Could wind up chasing4, Overly Temtpinguntil deep stretch where she can get past her. Speed figures are not as good as 4, Overly Temtping but she appears to be able to continue her run. I like her just a little better to win.
6, Cotton Bay: Current form is not good enough to beat these today. She'd need some serious luck to win however my luck so far with short fields gives me reason to use her in the trifecta.
