ELMONT, N.Y. - Tom Albertrani saddled six stakes winners during the recently concluded meet at Gulfstream Park and broke fast at Belmont by sending out Flashing to outduel 6-5 favorite Saarlight in Saturday's Grade 3, $196,000 Nassau County Stakes for 3-year-old fillies. Flashing ($6) broke alertly from the rail to take the lead and was pressed by Saarlight through an opening quarter in 22.14 seconds. Saarlight wrested command midway on the turn after a half-mile in 44.63 and opened daylight through midstretch after six furlongs in 1:09.73 over a sealed muddy track. She drifted out while tiring, and Flashing, who had been switched to the outside, was along late to win by 1 1/4 lengths in 1:23.59 for seven furlongs.
