Coupled entries won't be scratched unless both entries are scratched.
I dont like this rule as if only one of the entries is good and gets late scratched would never use the remaining entry in a ex or tri auto toss and now we stuck with it.

1 or 1a for either and 1e for both

Sorry, it is like one bought their ticket. What we don't want is for the scorekeeper to have to keep adjusting the picks. One posting per capper does all. Let me test my spreadsheet. If it can catch an 1A scratch and default to an alternate horse, I'll consider it.
Thanks

you dont have to keep adjusting the picks . put 1 or 1a or 1e that simple. To me it is like if the coupled entry is late in card who wants to buy the late pk4 with the sorry part of the entry left in, when say by race 5 they scratched, well no one however I would not buy my late pk4 ticket before race 1, this is why the rule is no good. same with pk6 did not put ticket in before race 1 now by race 3 the late scratch lets me eliminate the ohter half. to me it is easy 1 for 1 or 1a for 1a or 1e for both realy simple and easy to keep track of

We might have a special celebrity guest handicapper for Derby Day. Should we find one, the winner of April 28's contest will be the guest handicapper for May 12, not May 5. The winner of May 5 still gets to try for the Hall of Fame as does the winner of April 28.
I'll need a volunteer to host and score on Derby day. What you need to do is work a spreadsheet and sort on that spreadsheet. I'll walk you through it. PM if you are interested.
Thanks

The spreadsheet doesn't catch an entry scratch. The entry rule will stay. Before an entry is scratched, all coupled horses have to be scratched. It's just like buying the ticket. For example, if one chooses 1A as their selection that is coupled with the #1 horse before the scratch is invoked both #1 and #1A have to scratch.

not trying to be anything however this rule is not right. I dont play the late pk4 before race 1 so the late scratch of the part of entry that is a donkey will not go on my ticket, the only way it does if it scratches after making the ticket that I do not do until before the 1st leg not before the 1st race.

It may be easy on the contestants end, but it is difficult for the scorekeeper to enact. It isn't that I don't want to accommodate you. Actually, I see your point. I just haven't figured out how to implement the change. I'll play with the scorecard spreadsheet a little more and see if I can get it to work.

Since I'm on a losing streak, I won't bet my selections next weekend. This should put an end to the losing streak. It's a double negative making a positive. Should my picks come in, I would have been right about my selections. The losing streak will be over. Or if they don't come in then I would have been right about the fact that they didn't come in and right about something ending my losing streak. (Just in case that you are wondering, I'm betting for real next weekend. Should I lose next weekend, then I would have been right about what I should have done to end my losing streak making me right about something and ending my losing streak.)

!!
Perhaps you should go cleanse yourself in the river and then burn 3-day old embers....
I find that works for me :smug:
Hope to see you back to your winnings ways very soon Al.. ..Just take it easy and always try to take it slow.
