I learned how to handicap with claimers at Ellis. I am not as good at it as I used to be, but I think it is a fantastic challenge and would make a great contest day. Let's do it. I'll promote it and provide prizes for whatever day(s) are chosen.

DwnTheStretch will attempt to go for 3 profitable contest in a roll. So will team PaceSetters (dwnthestretch+capper al+handycapmike7) attempt to go for 3 in a roll. So far no Hall of Fame single or team have made 3 in roll.

My hex is on oneg12 and team Mysticrosecru. Don't take this personal. I'm just trying to save our cash.

The contest is open for anyone to drop in and play. All you need to do is pick a horse for a fantasy WPS ticket in each of our 8 races in our Next Guest Handicapper contest at Belmont this weekend. Also I think we should have a playoff for Hall of Famers for a couple of spots in the Rider's Cup Breeders' Cup challenge? If we get these, we'll drop the bar back to only one profitable race after a profitable win to get into the Hall of Fame. Both team and singles would qualify for the Rider's Cup playoffs.

I totally enjoy our game. The track we play is the track I wager. It's crazy too. When I'm profitable in the contest, I usually don't make real money. When I'm not profitable and my second thru forth picks are hot, I make real money.

I wager whatever track we play. I'm going thru hoops before the first event getting everyone's picks in, creating teams, and posting CC favorites which I've come to like a lot. The problem I have is getting my bet and watching the tote-board for the first event. I'd like to have all picks in 30 minutes prior to the first event. Of course, as usual, I will allow for an occasional exception. But this will free me up to focus on my wager. Are you all okay with this?

It's looking like Santa Anita on Saturday Jan 5 for our next guest handicapper contest. I'll check the weather tomorrow before opening the contest. If it is SA then Races 2,4,5,6,7,8,9. The feature is R7 a Grade 2 stake race.

If Trenchcoatmafia doesn't win it then we go to the winner of this week. If the winner of this week isn't profitable the last weekend then the money goes to the winner of the last weekend.
