Belmont cancelled due to the brutal heat, but Thank God Colonial Downs races at night and hope they'll run. Forecast is for 92 degrees at 7pm (1st post) with temperatures slowly falling into the mid-80's.
Recapping COLONIAL DOWNS selections from Sunday, June 17th had 6 winners (4 Top Selections) with $2 WIN pay-offs being $8.60 (1st race), $6.00 (2nd), $18.40 (3rd), $8.40 (4th), $4.40 (5th) and $6.40 (9th). The BEST BET of the Day (8 5-0-0) was rank early, made a late run but failed to even hit the board, getting nosed out for 3rd as the 3-1 2nd betting choice. The LONGSHOT PICK (7 0-1-2) was scratched. Due to Father’s Day, I was unavailable to make adjustments to selections after scratches were announced.
