I wouldnt read too much into what you saw with Ohio St last week.

They figured to beat Ohio with one arm tied behind their back. Which they did.

I firmly believe this was a setup game for USC. They looked inept. They were running formations they normally do not. Classic setup material. Try to show weakness.

It just so happens that Terry Bowden wrote an article on what is called the "setup" game.

Back in 93 when he coached Auburn they opened with UAB. UAB was on limited scholarships while competing in 1-a for the first year. As Terry put it, they werent too concerned with UAB. So he said they spent all summer running plays and when they came to UAB they never ran a one of those formations. Plain vanilla. Auburn was lethargic in that game making mistakes, running wrong routes missing blocks etc. They ended up beating UAB 29-0. Terry said in his article, he was more concerned with game 2 which was Fresno St. They didnt hold back in that game beating the Bulldogs 62-0. All while running the offense they used all spring and summer.

So dont be fooled by last weeks Ohio St game. I guarantee you the USC staff wasn't.

I wouldn't put much stock in anything Terry Bowden says and him Lou Holtz are totally clueless and I can't see for the life of me why they have jobs on college football when they are so wrong so often. Ohio State did get caught over looking and doing the peekaboo thing with Ohio, but the game did show their weekness in the secondary and running game. Look at strength on strengh in this game. USC has the best defense in the country bar none! If OSU couldnt run against Ohio they have not shot on USC and Ohio State can not throw the ball UTE OHHHHHH, USC has a power balanced offense which can run or pass, leans to the pass side which is an issue for OSU in my opinion. First quarter will be close after that it will be all USC! I can see them putting 40 plus point up on OSU this weekend. The only offense that can give USC a run for its money right now is Oklahoma's and that because they have a huge fron five that all returned and is considered the best offense line in the country right now.

USC 42..........OSU 14
